Well if you can afford the albion, definately go with that.
The gen 2 is quite wieldable one handed so if you want a bastard sword I would say you should go with a gen 2 (although I'm not a fan of the round handle...very hard to get a proper edge alighnment).

With the new AoV custom grip you can alleviate any problems you may have had with a round handle.

Yeah, AoV does some really nice stuff.
If you haven't already rigor, you should check out shootermike's cutting video of the albion crecy on the cutting board. And that was with a blade that wasn't even very sharp yet.

Yep, I did. It's one of the better cutting vids I have seen with any blade. The next 16 or so weeks 'till it's done can't pass quickly enough! Thanks again for all your help!

congrats on the albion . With all you guys getting crecy swords, I think I need to get myself the agincourt. I'm still really torn between these two for my next sword.
