I bought this Windlass sword (see attached file photo and if anyone has a better way of attaching a photo let me know how) a few years ago. I know when I bought it that it wasn't intended as an 'aulthentic' gladius, rather it was a reproduction of a sword used in some obscure movie. I think they sold a helmet and a cloak to go with it too, but I was too cheap to buy them. Does anyone know what movie this came from? They said at the time but I forgot to write it down. I don't even know if anyone actually made the film. The sword is great though. If you want an aulthentic gladius forget it, but if you want a cool artistic variation of a roman sword this is it. I actually like the balance better than any of the other gladii (sp?) I own. My only complaint is the hand guard offers substandard protection for your hand. Attachments:

I wish I knew exactly. I can't remember. I bought this approximately 2007. I doubt it was before 2005. It;s slightly possible it was earlier, but absolutely not before 2000 AD. Very probably between 2006-2008.

Have you tried emailing windlass? They can probably tell you what it's from. It looks very familiar. And GORGEOUS!

No but that's a good idea. It is a gorgeous weapon and I love the balance too. I should write them a better movie to go with it.

Rather handsome, I'll admit. I am also interested in knowing what film it's from.
