So I am the proud new owner if a windlass Deschaux rapier courtesy of Christmas. I was impressed with the quality of the guard and grip, I thought them quite well done for the price of the sword. The blade, on the other hand, was a bit more flexible than I expected. The tempering is top notch, but the blade is much more flexible than other rapiers I have handled.
So, I am looking at yet another sword, and would love some input from some of the resident experts on what you might recommend. I have lusted after some of the arms & armor blades, but I am open to any and all suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

Are you looking for something sharp, blunt but not for training, or a training piece? A&As rapiers are lovely, at least the ones I've gotten to handle. If you want a cheaper (relative to A&A) trainer, Darkwood armory is a great choice, but they don't (maybe on special request?) tend to do sharps.

Thanks, I am looking for a sharp. As much as I would love to train in rapiers, nobody in my area seems to be doing anything like that, so, no need for a blunt. Yet.

If you don't mind me asking, where in Texas about are you located? If money isn't an issue, A&A will do sharp/trainer combos with interchangeable blades...

I don't know how easily changeable they are, but they are threaded, if very tightly, and they say they will do interchangeable.
