Hi all! I was taking a peek at Lee's Armoury ( www.leesarmoury.com/treasures.htm) and saw the cut and thrust and immediately liked its simplicity... especially at the price! (I'll have to see if they ship to Oz...) I eyed off that TL1401 but thought it was too close to the one ShooterMike bought and beyond my level of craftmanship to deal with! However, as I know very little about European swords (I own two katana) I thought I'd ask here for advice - does anyone know of any major problems with this sword and if it would be worthwhile for a venture? ![](http://www.leesarmoury.com/images/casct.JPG) Some of the potential issues I can see are a lack of distal taper and the risk of a rat-tail tand and/or poor temper... Thanks!

Hey V,
Just saw this. Sorry for the long delay...
I have always found Lee to be very honest and up-front about all his wares. You could call or email him from the contact info on his website. Ask him whatever you'd like to know and tell him of your intended use for the product. I'm sure he would give the "straight poop" on whether this combo would be really durable or not.
I have bought 5 swords from him. I quizzed him pretty heavily on each. Everything he said about them, blemishes and all, proved to be completely accurate.

It looks a little blade heavy for a Cut and Thrust. Dagger looks good.
