Here is my review, just go the sword and very impressed with it! haven't cut a lot though, what do you guys think? Any owners of this sword here? Actually I heard someone on youtube saying their sword doesn't come sharpen at all? But for mine, it is VERY sharp out of the box! I think it is a new release kinda thing?

The thing I enjoy about your reviews is that you let the attributes of the sword guide you to your observations about how it can be employed to one's greatest advantage. Not preconceived notions about how a sword ought to be used. You can pick up a sword and ask yourself, "given the qualities of this sword, how best can I use it."

Jack, that's exactly my approach to these "weapons of other culture". As a martial artist, I don't limit myself to only using "Chinese weapons". But if you give me a rapier, I will be able to use it with ease too because I use my brain to blend any weapons into my style or martial art, not to google around how rapier guys use a rapier and copy them. So that's how I make my adventure more interesting, haha! You are right, given a blade with these attributes, how can I use it the best way?
That's the way to go! I find this sword very fun to play around too!

I dont mean to pry, but when did you buy this sword and from where? The blade looks like the older version, but the scabbard looks like the newer version. If you look at the pictures on the coldsteel website, you can see the blades are different, yours having a diamond cross section and the one on their site being hexagonal.
Anybody know if they're switching back?
