This mailing tube is not like the one cold steel use for their demo, it's a LARGER one, and it is freely standing on a plastic chair by itself, nothing is securing it and it is about to fall in any seconds because the 2 ends were very worn out already. Now, take a look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like your impression of the Cold Steel video pose! Especially the belly part, that's very funny!

Thanks guys!
Blackthorn - haha, yeah Lynn is a funny guy to imitate, hahaha.. But cold steel guys (don't know who but it was their csknives account) commented on my video too, they say the mailing tubes they used are thicker but narrower than the one I used. The one I used is wider in diameter but not as thick. So it's very different test we did. I did a free-standing setup which require the skills AND the sword edge to do it. If you have no skills, you will end up making the tube fly away instead like a baseball bat effect. So it's not as easy as it seems. The Cold Steel one is securely set in on a stand, it doesn't move and the thing is HARD and tough, which they claim a guy's katana snapped when they try to smack it onto their tube test too, scary.. and so it's more a test of the blade's edge instead of the person's skills. Which make sense because they are showing off their products and I am showing my skills, hahaha!

Very impressive cutting skill, I have limited cutting space too so I really like watching your demonstration and learn something new

Is this the same Han Jian you can find on Kult of Athena: www.kultofathena.com/product.asp ... asty+Sword ? Because that test is really impressive, I kind of want one now

thana357 - thanks~ I also cut in a very small space and you can see that when I cut the tube, I did not really even retract for a big swing, instead, I just slash straight down and stopped at a controlled position, which means you don't need heck a lot of space to use a sword too. Now that is also why a shorter blade han jian is good !
Springs - Thanks~ I did not buy it from KofA, but I think they are the same thing, but mind comes with antiqued brass fittings while the one in KofA seems more like new to me. I don't know if the steel is the same too. Mine seems better after my polish, haha!
The sword is nice, and the construction is still good after my brutal test with hard object whacking, no wobbly and anything, so I guess it is strong enough for my use~

Just went there, look like it is, and the price range is pretty much the same too.
