Another versus topic! I know both of these swords are incredibly different but I was looking for an attractive sub $250 one-handed cutter and narrowed it down to these two. Initially I was set on the Gim from the glowing review on this site, but it seems the newer versions aren't as heavy or sharp as the one reviewed. I like the look of both, but I was wondering which one of these would prove a better for standard backyard cutting? I know the question is broad but if anyone has experience with them and can share the difference I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!

I don't have either but between CS and Windlass, I would go with the Cold Steel Gim, mainly because I like the look of it more and my last Cold Steel sword was a great buy.

What you get from Windlass can be really hit or miss. make sure you buy from Cult of Athena or someone that will check the quality before sending.

Yea, totally agreed with that. KoA Is your best bet for windlass and make sure you email them for quality checking the product just in case. Cold steel would give you a better....sword, by which I mean the blade will most likely look good. Handling and what not depends on the sword you're getting cause many of CS stuff can be a bit blade heavy and awkward to handle.
