Hes ome of the 3 ebay sword vendor that has the most positive reviews around here, with the other 2 being huawei and st-nihonto. There is a series of 3 reviews comparring their sword on this forum, you should check it out. Personally, for the blade itself, i prefer huawei while for customization wih a decent blade i like st. Swordsmith got free shipping though and also alot of customization options, even on lower end blade and their blade isnt bad either. Personal preference i guess since st gave me such wonderful customer service. Check out those comparisson reviews before u buy tho

I bought from them off ebay a month or so ago. Katana shipped for free within 2 days and arrived about 11 days later in a nice styro container, and a 'silk' bag. They also included a thank-you card and some Chinese money, a very nice customer service touch. For the price I paid, I am very happy with my Katana, I asked for a few customizations and they did it no problem at all. Below are a couple photos of what I ordered. In short I vote yes to ordering from them, I cannot say if what you are looking at is worth it though since I am a newbie. Just remember my sword is a sub $200 swords and it is not a gem, but for the price I like it a lot, though I think I might rewrap it with lighter cord which they originally had. Photos below are ones *I* took when it arrived.

I'm very happy with my Swordsmith668/Hanbon purchase, but as far as the top end ranges go, you can get the same (if not better) quality from Hua Wei Swords with their Hazuya Polished line for a lot less. www.ebay.com/itm/FUNCTIONAL-HAZU ... 4164dda590 You even get the neat little paper triangles and full samegawa wrap (not verified on "full wrap" though, as I haven't seen a review or dissection, but they say it's wrapped...) in/on the handle.

Hua wei, in my opinion, is the best ebay forge, their blades are just so nice. Not alot of customization, but it's good for just the blade then go with cottontail custom. Ebay forges koshirae tends to not be that good, and the saya are always a bit too tight
