I heard that they are pretty average. I was considering getting myself a John Gill Singh viking sword, but then I saw a high res pic on another site. It looks very rough. The fuller was wonky, and the forging exceedingly rough. The fact is, you do GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! These swords are cheap and rough. They may roughly match the description on the site, but don't expect champagne on a wine budget.
Weaponsgalore is a good retailer, though, so expect at least good QC. I've bought from them before.

Ok, so maybe I am being a little dismissive of them, but you should nevertheless search for close up images of their products on google or something. Some of them look downright nasty. Also, beware of loose handles and thin tangs.
If you expect this, though, and are prepared for it, go ahead and get one. At least then you won't be disappointed.
Wow, In my last post the use of the word "rough" was a little too frequent.

Oh! One final thing! Some of JGS swords look like windlass copies. Compare the Greek Hoplite sword on weaponsgalore to the windlass one in the ancient swords section of SBG, and you'll see that they look EXACTLY the same. I asked Paul about this ages ago, and he said that he reckons they aren't made by windlass.

I noticed that too. And the hoplite scabard is exactly the same. and the gladius' scabbard is the same as the windlass. and if you compare the first viking sword to the one from Darksword armory it is earily similar. Look at cs76cs' post about his.

Also Carlitobrigante, I think the only place to get Albions over there is from albion-europe.com, but I'm not sure if there are any resellers in the UK itself. Sorry if I'm no help.

I got my windlass 15th century longsword from Kult of Athena in the U.S , the shipping was reasonable at $47.00 USD. when you consider that Arms Of Valor quoted me $145.00 to ship to Blighty. I don't know where that difference in costs comes from, I'm guessing that they use different carriers. The customs label for my sword stated that it was a replica for display only so no customs duty though I did have to pay around 30 quid Vat and handling to Parcelforce. What is it you're after? have you considered one of the European makers, e.g Pavel Moc, Red Gur, Lutel or Del Tin? Hope this helps.

Wow, In my last post the use of the word "rough" was a little too frequent. This kukhri seems to be a copy of the windlass one which is itself a very poor kukrhi like object in my view. If the picture wasn't bad enough, they refer to the Chakma and Karda as "eating knives" ;D www.weaponsgalore.com/Catalogue/?CategoryID=166
