Can you post a link to one of these? I'm not familiar with that name. But that's not to say they aren't good swords.

If you are in the UK or somewhere where shipping from the UK is reasonable, this might be something worth getting hold of. It has a fairly nice looking guard, grip and pommel and the blade looks good from what I can see. The overall look reminds me of Windlass. Which is to say, good. I love that style of guard BTW. I don't have a bastard sword with that type of guard, but someday... ![:D](//storage.forums.net/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I was initially interested in John Barnett swords when I first saw them on this site; www.blades-uk.com/view_items.php?cat_id=157 However I've subsequently seen these swords close up on my last visit to the Royal Armouries in Leeds, (they sell them in the souvenir shop) and I have to say don't bother.they are poorly finished and look like cheap, Indian wallhangers which is pretty much what they are really. Take for instance that 13th century Medieval at the top of the page I linked to, now I have average sized hands but the handle of that sword is just too small, no way I could hold it in a good comforable grip. Looks like it might have a nice diamond cross section in the picture, yeah? Forget it. It's quite flat and very ugly. On the whole I was quite unimpressed by the quality of the Barnett swords, The fact that they were displayed next to some really nice Del Tin swords didn't do them any favours either, it just highlighted their poor quality.
