Sorry for the delay! I'm on abroad in Dublin, not checkin the boards much between classes and jiggin and guinness Well, mostly jigging, a pint of guinness costs the equivalent of $7.50 here! As to that company, I emailed them a while back and they have pros and cons judging from what I've read. Pros: Inexpensive repros, nice looking, generally accurate designs though some with more knowledge than I have found fault Cons: Big con--they use tool steel, Rockwell Hardness C Scale of 38, which is pretty low relative to other companies. Not ahistorical at all, many swords are historically softer and obviously were still harder than flesh and bone, however a sword of that steel will not perform up to the standards of say a Gen 2 or Darksword. Little con: I've heard some of the blades are overweight, due to a lack of distal taper. So as yet, I hate to say, there really isn't a historically accurate and effective saber for the price range. Perhaps the aforemention mameluke blade will prove worthwhile--I'd buy it but as I said, I'm on an abroad right now in the most expensive city in Europe where a pint here would buy you a six pack of the same back home (literally. Ironic, isn't it? Expensive Guinness in IRELAND!??) So if durability rather than historical accuracy is your thing, then the better of the three available options would be the Cold Steel. Or just save up 300 more dollars and get an Odinblades custom! That's what I think I may do, unless I visit Iran soon. Best 'o luck to yez!
