Okay, So I hooked up with this company and I am getting a very nice discount so I have decided to order two of the following. www.atlantacutlery.com/p-1969-wi ... kopis.aspx I get free shipping and can not wait to see these. I may end up posting some videos on field testing depending upon responses from you all. First swords (not issued to me by the military) and first field testing. Lets see what these bad boys can handle!!!

Btw...I chose these as my virgin swords for a couple of reasons.
First, if you look at the design, when you hold a weapon or sword, your wrist will naturally go to a certain degree. With this degree, this weapon will be able to stab with the point head on, versus a weakening point of your arm when stabbing point first.
Second is that the design is close to a Kukri which has amazing chopping power and weight distribution. The Ghukra tribe use to slice heads right off in a single swing with a similar curve of this.
Third, have you ever seen the movie with Brad Pitt and Achilles? There is a fight scene with him and a prince (I think), that shows the massive pressure this type of weapon can submit with a jab while keeping your wrist at an exact angle.

Basing anything on a movie fight scene is somewhat like expecting a Whopper like the one in the picture.
However the Kopis is a great all purpose weapon.

Not really basin it off the movie, but it is fact that your wrist is stronger at that angle. There is a firearms manufacturer, point something, that makes pistols for that angle so that the recoil will not bend the wrist back as easily. They have the only Triangle sight setup if anyone knows what I am talking about.
