incase anyone is interested in this seller i have ordered a sword from him. He hasn't charged me any money till its completed and has been very polite. Apparently he has an english language website on the way but if you email him his english is very good. I haven't read many reviews so i don't know what to expect but i thought i'd take a gamble on a cheapish sword i liked and if its good get some more. Some of the guards are quite rough and plain in the pics but the price definitely reflects this. I really hope the sword is nice as there are many swords on his site i will buy. Anyone else own anything from him? pic off website Attachments:

Szymon is pretty well known in Poland both as a smith and as a swordsman. I am planning on ordering from him as well as soon as my funds clear up a little, though I heard his waiting times like to grow.
Looking forward to seeing a review after you receive the sword!

"dates orders are now 3 months NEW : A weapon forged with round bars. "
Not sure what the round bar bit is about, but thats what his website said.

yeah i'm not quite sure what the round bar bits about so i am assuming its 3 months as he didn't say otherwise. Its not a custom so i can't see it taking extra time but if it goes over a few months i don't mind.

So, what did the sword turn out to be like, sir? Was the guard in good enough finish when seeing it in the hand afterall? How was it packed? And did you order a sharp or a blunt.. if sharp, I would love to know if you find it burrs easely? I'm asking, because I ordered a custom sword that I have a firm imagination of in my head, from him last week. Delivery in 3 months. Mr. Chlebowski replied within 2 days to my initial email, and has answered every next email very polite and friendly. Everything is possible, even engravings if you would so like, for almost no charge. Without having seen any of his blades for real, he does give me the feeling this new creation will be a nice piece once it's finished. Regards, JW

Hi JW, Szymon emailed me the other day and the sword will be a little later and i'll get it end of april. Not sure why but doesn't bother me waiting a little longer he hasn't charged me any money yet either so its no stress. I did order it sharp so i'll let you know how it is. Is the custom sword you ordered quite simple or a fancy hilt? I'm just curious as most of his swords pictured have simple hilts and was wandering if he's happy doing more complex designs?

I asked for a waisted grip, like for example the Munich has. Leather over cord. S-curved tubular cross guard, and 2 siderings. It will all not be a problem according to Mr. Chlebowski, even was positive about it, said it will be an interesting project. Also cutouts at the ricasso (xviiie style so to speak) is no problem, engravings are possible, we haven't spoken about ornaments so can't say anything there..
Btw I see your blade on his website shop, last page.
Regards, JW

Well I hope both your swords come out exceptional because I'm now on the hook for his XVIIIc from the Royal Armories. I think about the only modification I may do is add a peen block purely because I like the look of peen blocks on wheel pommels. He said it'd be ready at the end of June but I'm in no rush.

I've been to his site before, but never really paid much attention to it because there's no English version and I can't read Polish. But after taking another look and then converting zł prices to dollars... What are shipping costs to the U.S. like?

I'll share my experience too.
Ordered a practice sword from him when my old one broke, was kind enough to take me over the line. Got sword, was quite nice, though the point tended to bend and stay bent, so I had to straighten it a lot. Wanted to order some more stuff from him, but had to cancel due to some unforeseen circumstances. Went to Dijon, saw his other swords - which did not stay bent and were not nearly as dented as mine. Was given advice to send the sword back for a replacement blade, as a few smiths said it'll break sooner or later since it was too soft. So I did. It's been almost a year since I've sent the sword back (Szymon agreed it was too soft, offered to replace it). I've gotten 6 mails saying "it's in the mail" or "it will be sent tomorrow". The sword is still not here. I've also said I'd be happy to take something else he has in stock of similar value, or with some extra payment, but got no response to that.
It handled quite nicely too, was a lively blade. The others I've handled were OK as well. They're not the best swords around, but are worth the money. However, the customer service is horrible (as I gathered from other people as well). I'm seriously doubting I'll ever see the sword. Which kinda ruined the experience for me...

what about the scabbard ? is it part of the initial price or an extra ... for some reasoni noticed that european swordsmakers it's an extra

AFAIK the scabbard is not included. Just like with Albions, ATrims, Longships and many other European vendors.
