I was just browsing around when I found this sword on ebay. www.ebay.com.au/itm/Chinese-carb ... 320wt_1393 I researched shirly-sword and I know it's going to be a gamble, but how do you guys feel about it? I'm kinda new at this but I do have 2 katanas and a couple rapiers. Katanas are from huawei and st-nihonto and rapiers are windlass and dsa. First post technically*

At that price point I wouldn't be expecting much, after all it is only $70 AUD.
Nowhere does it state if its sharpened :? , mind you I would be cautious cutting with it even if it was, the steel couldn't be great, even if it is full tang as claimed. And what is with the sticker on the blade?
Ultimately I guess it will depend on what you want it for. If you want to buy it for a wall hanger, or even just to do a review and see what you can get for $70, as some helpful members have done for cheap ebay Katana, than why not? You don't have much to lose.
If you want it as a regular cutter, I personally would spend a little more.
I'm sure some of the veteran members will be able to give better advice regarding the actually seller

Yea. I recently did buy a 70 dollars nihonto and as a regular cutter, that wasn't too bad. I would go as far as saying it's a sword I could beat things with without chipping a more expensive blade. Being that it was supposedly spring steel, It was tough enough for branches and a couple hard plastic cup and so far I have a barely visible chip at the near-tip of the blade. That's why i'm looking into cheaper swords and keep all my more expensive one as light cutter and decoration. (Not going to use my del tin to fight branches i'm sure.)

Sinowsword Had one like that but I can't access their old site due to it being blocked here in Afghanistan. For $70, I'd risk it. Sinosword has some good blades. Yeah. That just screams sinoswords to me. The fittings are right. The grip is right. The pommel is right. And that's not a sticker on the blade, it's lacquer, iirc.
Looks like a clearance of a discontinued product.

With free shipping and everything, I might just get that or some other blade from them. The thing is, I also found these from a couple other chinese sellers, and I know that sinosword isn't that cheap. To think of it, what are they paying their workers if standard shipping is around 30-50 bucks, and the whole sword sells for 70?
