Hi All,
I recently bought a lovely Albion Templar. It had some rust and a few scratches from use. So far so good.
The day it arrived, I attacked the rust with 3-1 oil and gray scotchbrite. Still good....
After about 2 hours of clean up, (the entire sword) it looks very close to new again. However, it has 2 pits from rust on the blade that didn't come out with the scotchbrite.
So what recommendations do you have for removal of the pitting, without leaving a wavy spot on the blade from stock removal? The pits aren't terribly deep, but I want to be careful not to damage the sword further.
Thanks all!

I cannot think of any process to remove the pits that will not result in some change to the finish on the pitted area.

Albions do have a lifetime warranty, in addition to reconditioning service:
"We are always here to help. For a small fee, Albion can fully refurbish your sword and make it almost like new again. Contact Albion Customer Service for a price quote and turnaround time." - Albion Swords Website
I'd say the easiest thing to do would be to write Albion and ask them how much for a professional refinish for the problem area.

Good advice from Odingaard. I would check out this option.

Good idea! While I'm at it I may as well have Them sharpen it too.
