Hello everyone; My name is Richard and i am looking into buying a katana and i need some clarification on a matter. I have been looking at some katana and in the item description i see references to the sharpness of the blade. The most common ones below: Sharp[/list:u]
Very sharp[/list:u]
Razor sharp[/list:u]
Semantically there is a difference but is there a difference in terms of the blade on the katana or is it merely clever wording added in by the seller of the products to convince me to buy?

Thank you Vue I guess 'razor sharp' would be an edge that could at least cut through plastic bottles with ease; i will not able to have my blade (when i have one) sharpened so i would like the sharpest edge i can afford.

Don't forget that advertising is everything, "whiter than white!", "free steak knives!" "razor sharp!" all fall into the same order, there are several suppliers who offer "pre delivery" sharpening so you get the highest possible level of sharpening.
