What are the differences between the Gen2 Viking sword and the Gen2 Sword of Gurm...they appear pretty much the same to me...

Yes they are the same. Arms of Valor calls it the Gurm because they include a very well done print with it. It would probably be best to ask Jason on this.

Yes, they are both the same. We had an artist who came up with a character named Gurm Stormaxe. The idea behind him was a Viking type character who fought with Sword in axe. Here he is fighting with his great double headed axe. Note the sword at his side! The next item in the Gurm Collection is his sword. Note the axe imbedded in one of his enemies. The premise behind this print is that he was fighting with his great axe which got stuck in the bone of one of his opponents, so he let go of the axe and pulled out his sword.

Interesting, he's left handed. Good to see a fellow lefty in fantasy...they are entirely too rare.

I never noticed that before! And its obviously quite intentional as he is also gripping the axe with the left hand above the right too.. Anyway, this sword and poster set isn't a bad deal, especially when you consider that with the SBG Dicsount you can pick up this sword and poster combo for $193.50, which is lower priced than just the sword by itself anywhere else..! P.S. Just thought I'd mention that the artist who did these pics Erik T. Hilliker is the same gent who will be doing the poster for design a sword competition over in the fantasy forum. So for the 'story challenged' something like 'Sword of Gurm Stormaxe, left Handed Viking Warrior' would be enough for Erik to work his substanial magic with!

I never thought to ask, but I wonder if Erik H. is a lefty! I'll ask him and find out.

hm...also notice that all of the figures are righties...except the MAIN CHARACTER! so its like one lefty against 10,000 righties. More strength to us
