Having got AAA battery replacements, I was able to finally get the weight done on my scales. It came out to about 1.1 kg / 2.4 lbs. Quite a bit of heft compared to the Hanbon Katana (quarter-pounder's worth of uncooked meat), but I guess it's expected, since the blade is thicker thicker, has more niku, a little longer, and has a bulkier handle with heavier fittings.

It's upsetting to read about this- did you ever hear back from Jacky about a possible return? From your other thread asking about the flaw you said you messaged him but did he ever reply? I ask because I am one who has recommended Huawei and had great experiences service-wise. Right now I am about to make a new post on my second sword from them and since my first communication for the first sword I bought all the way through to this new sword (about 50 emails back and forth), Jacky has responded to every message I've written him. Not only that he's offered to help with my new sword as there is some damage to the saya from shipping. I don't want to hijack your thread though so I don't want to get into a long explanation- unless you think I should... At any rate I've had a very different experience than you did. It's just frustrating that we can each have such a different experience. For me Jacky has been very polite, prompt, given me some stuff for free, answered questions not even related to swords, tried to source out some customizing stuff for me-- just all sorts of good help. (Anyway, sorry man for rambling on, I'll move to my own post finally )

Yeah, I've gotten no reply, so I figured that since it wasn't through eBay and there's no risk of negative feedback... Either way, they really have the market cornered. From my experience, the other two (ST-Swords and Hanbon Swords) are very similar in quality and worksmanship. Hua Wei's quality is higher, which is why they can charge more than the other two, but they can also undercut the more commonly known "brand names."

Kuya - Not sure if you're ware bro but China just had a full week off due to a national public holiday. People just returned back to work so that might be the cause, however in my experience with Huawei they do sometimes don't reply unless you 'spam' them a few times with the same email it's not a recommended method but it seems to work for me then

Added comparison conclusion and links to the other two at the end of the review.
