Probably for the best. The only reason I have the one I have is because it cost me only $85 and I have the skills and resources to rework it.

You may already be aware of this, but this website's sister site (?) Sword Manufacturers Guide has some good intel on many companies and their known issues, Deepeeka included: www.sword-manufacturers-guide.com/deepeeka.htmlI just wish they had a little more info on European swordsmiths; e.g. Czech ones like Pavel Moc, Fabri Armorum, Kovex-Ars, Lutel etc. It's what all the cool kids around here seem to be carrying ;-) But on topic: Deepeeka doesn't seem to have the most solid of reputations.

Yeah, SMG is the sister site to here, and as being overhauled by Paul if I recall correctly.
As for Deepeka, there are better value for dollar blades out there; plus, they're not very good as far as blade strength goes. To be honest, although they are billed as "battle ready", many do not consider them to be so. Now, you're referring to axes and polearms specifcally. With what I've seen and handled of their axes, the heads are decent enough but expect to replace the handles if you intend to use it. And again, there is better value for dollar out there.
