Hello Everyone! I am a long term medieval enthusiast, but only a recent SBG peruser. I don't know how I could have missed this place, it feels like home! My love of swords was born at a Kinderfest at Ronneberg Castle in Hesse, Germany. I was twelve years old and we were visting friends in Europe. The castle was in full reenactment mode from armored duelists to fletchers and maidens. I spent the whole visit walking around wide-eyed, and since then, my interest has never waivered. I have a very modest collection, but it does include two unique pieces that I acquired directly from the smith, a man named Cannon from Homer, Alaska. I would like to get some pictures up, but I think that would be more appropriate over on the collections page? Also, I recently a book from my wife: "Swords, An Artist's Devotion" by Ben Boos. benjaminboos.blogspot.com/2008/05/swords-artists-devotion.html It has some information in it, but it's very general and not overly informative. The value is in the artwork. This guy really loves swords and has created a series of beautiful paintings and sketches to reflect that. It reads like a children's book, but has illustrations that many enthusiasts would enjoy. Just wanted to share! Cheers!

Glad to have you aboard ! Yes please show us your stuff and be ready to destroy your budget ! SBG is like a mind control device that turns you into a compulsive sword buyer with urges as powerful as those of a crack addict. But we kinda like it that way... i guess ?
