Yes, another forum noob

Hello to all. My name is James. Found these three sites (SBG, SMG the old SBG, and SFI) trying to find a reputable sword dealer/custom sword smith. Spent a couple weeks reading threads on all three, decided it was time to join. Same screename on the other two forums as well, (once I'm activated.) Nice to see a lot of fellow military vets here (american, canadian, and british.) I myself am former U.S. Army E-5, straight leg 11B infantry from Ft. Campbell, then 3rd Batt Rangers at Ft. Benning, finally 5th group SF back at Ft. Campbell with combat tours in Bosnia and Kosovo, along with a few classified missions from 5th group. Got out march of 2001. I salute all my fellow allied and U.S. military personnel, both past and present. BTW so far I haven't seen much of Brendan Olszowy on the current forum. Maybe I just havent read the threads he's posted on :?: From what I've read so far, I've chosen to have Odinblades make my primary EDC sword while i gather the tools, space, and materials necessary to start building my sword and armor smithing skills. Already read all the newbie stickies, though I might ask some ignorant or seeminly off-the-wall questions from time to time. I'm new to the sword making community, not the blade weilding one. And btw, anyone can ask me anything, especially if it pertends to my combat experience, strategies, and tactics. I'll admit, im a beginner with metallurgy with regards to smithing, but have a fair amount of expertise at structural engineering and the applications of antiballistic material including its use in a composite with medieval armor. So ask or comment away, and unless I specifically state it, I don't intend to offend or frustrate anyone, so don't take it that way.
