I found this version of anduril with an imitation damascus steel blade on ebay the other day ( www.ebay.com/itm/S0111-LORD-OF-T ... 2316wt_961) and I really like the look of it. I was wondering what the experts thought of it, especially whether you think it would be fine for wearing around on my hip and occasionally swinging it around (but not hitting anything.) Thank you.

WOuld probably work just fine as a costume piece, but I am no expert.

Stainless steel... Wouldn't touch it. Also- the handle leather and fit from the pommel to the leather grip show a serious lack of quality.

Agreed. Don't touch anything stainless. It probably doesn't even have a tang. I don't know how they can charge so much for a stainless steel sword, when you can so easily get a real one for that kinda money.

But its ok if you want to just hang it on the wall.

Actually I'd stay away from it as a wall hanger as well. You much better off just getting the licensed United version. It's roughly $100 less and will retain some of it's value as a collectable. With this sword your pretty much throwing your money away in that regard. Also I'm not so sure it's really pattern welded. I could be wrong on that account so please take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

It doesn't matter if it's pattern welded. Pattern welding junk steel isn't going to help it.
