Hello All,
While I've always liked edged weapons, I've never had a sword. Well, unless you count the 1X2 with a wooden hand guard nailed to it when I was 8! Anyway that little problem should be solved later this week. I ordered a Katana from Sword N Armory. It's a Functional Samauri Katana, and it should arrive later this week! Can't wait to get it. I want to learn more about swords and how to use them. In fact, it was while doing research (my wife calls it playing on the internet) that I found the SBG and this forum. One thing though, I haven't even gotten the first one yet and I've been scoping out what I want next. Uh, that goes away, right?

In some cases it gets better some it gets worse.
It may help to start a list of swords you want, then narow it down to a list of what you can afford, and then again down to a list of what your wife will allow you to get.(this last part only helps if there is something left on the list)
It also might help to start a new account just for sword funds droping in whatever you can whenever you can.
Oh yeah and welcome to the forum.

Welcome!
I acquired my first sword about 30 years ago... and no - the urge never goes away. What I find is that as I learn more - I also constantly upgrade my modern collection - and my desire for more antique swords seems to be stronger as well. The net result is an immense collection of excuses for why I did not fix this in the house - or why I can't get my wifes car fixed, etc. etc. Have Fun!

Hey Dave, A really good earthquake some night or a poltergeist could be quite interesting in that room... I have many of my swords on the walls of my bedroom - and my wife asks me repeatedly if we are actually more in danger from the swords on the walls rather than an actual zombie attack...

Welcome to the forum!
Personally, I'm one who's more likely to keep few swords and do more work on them with customizations and additions rather than buying a bunch of new swords. The collections of other members here just boggle my mind, lol!

Thanks all! I understand the bug all to well. If some other interests are any indication, I'll probably have several blades soon as I can figure out how to pay for them. I have a few knives, quite a few coins, and a shed full of bicycles and parts.

Haven't you heard the saying, "Live by the sword, die by the sword"? That means that we're all going to sword heaven when we're done here.
