So im starting to get into knives a bit also. Right up i want a Kershaw Skyline for work. Apart from ebay (obvious choice) wheres a good place to buy knives that includes shipping to Aus (as most US sites wont ship out of US which is stupid really).

Well, depending on what you consider 'cheap"..I've had pretty good service from this Australian company. www.extac.com.au/I'm also an Aussie, so I know what shipping from USA can do as far as bumping the prices up. While the price of things may originally seem a bit higher than in USA..once you factor in the much cheaper shipping cost, it's not too bad. And, depending on just where you live..you may not run so much risk of Custom's jumping on your new purchase

Joe, Ive just been through the process of choosing a knife and I ended up ordering a Fallkniven A1 and purchased it from Cutting Edge Knives here in Australia www.cuttingedgeknives.com.au/index.php they have a great selection and good prices, but not the lowest. Another good Australian seller is Knives to Survive knives2survive.com.au/ they probably have the best prices in Australia but most items are pre order. A good overseas dealer is DLT Trading www.dlttrading.com/ they do worldwide shipping and have very competitive pricing and an extensive selection. Some of the knives I was deciding between were the following; Fallkniven A1 www.cuttingedgeknives.com.au/pro ... &pID=10225 Barkriver Bravo 1 www.cuttingedgeknives.com.au/pro ... &pID=11884 Becker BK2 Companion knives2survive.com.au/p/4959707/ ... anion.html & at under $100 this one is excellent value. Hope this helps Paul

Wow thanks Paul More than i was expecting! I have a small knife list so far hoping to expand that once i find a great all round tool type of knife to take camping and do all the heavy stuff basically. Really liking bench made stuff atm... Whats everyone think of the Spyderco tri sharpener? Ive seen one in use and it looks so easy as i have so much trouble getting the right angle, have tried the gator stone on rod thing and its not very good. This is the one: www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=77
