I don't know for sure, but you might get Angus Trim to sell you a blade. If you are looking for a western style blade.

I guess I'm out of luck.I don't quite understand why you can buy bare knife blades so readily but no {or few}sword blades.Excuse me,WESTERN sword blades.I mean hey,100 to 150 bucks for an untempered 90% shaped blade just guaranteed for the steel quality is a lot better than taking apart an atrim just to modify for your pleasure!I don't want to distroy someone elses work,I just don't have the ways or means to do it all myself! P.S. I read somewhere else that neither Mr.Trim or Mr.Johnsson trust anyone with their bares.{has to do with quality control I think}.

That's curious. I know Angus Trim provides blades to several other sword makers. I have seen them advertise the fact that their swords use ATrim blades as a selling point. Maybe Gus only sells in batches and only to other established makers, so he's comfortable with what the end results are. I know he's swamped with orders right now. Have you contacted Lee Reeves at The Armoury ( www.leesarmoury.com) to see if he still has any of Gus' early swords? These are bare-bones swords that come disassembled and are perfect for customization projects. Basically what you get are a blade, a sanded and stained wooden grip, a guard, a pommel and a pommel nut. Lee usually sells these in the $175-195 price range, which includes the shipping costs.

I take it you didn't like the deltin blade from albion then?
I have a del tin longsword blade from AC being mounted by a smith in a migration era format. The del tin blades are rather nice.
Gus (Trim) has been known to sell bare blades, but has given up retailing for 2007.
Christian Fletcher will be handling all retail preorders.
Perhaps he can be of help...
Tinker would also likely craft you a blade for a reasonable price.

K-C has seemed a popular choice as an accessible option for a bare blade project and has been for a while. I've never heard anything really negative about Kriss C .............Gus (Trim) has been known to sell bare blades, but has given up retailing for 2007........ .. although I regularly visit SFI from time to time, it's mainly just the classifieds these days to be honest.. Is his order books full or is it other projects tieing him up??.. Last year he was busy with the new katana line if my ole memory is correct ?? atvvb Bill

You can see where this leads.
