So i understand a bit that mon(or kamon) were used as family crests, clans ,or also for a dojo. Would it be weird to have a katana that had, say for example, a mitsudomoe mon menuki, and then a katabami mon on a tsuba?

Sometimes multiple mon, or a combination of two mon in one would be used for a special commemoration or the joining of two families at a wedding. Here's an example of a hybrid of two well known mon on a silver sake cup in my collection. Attachments:
