novist here id like to know if i can cut a bo-hi ? ore maybe athin fuller with simply hand tools with out needing a mill to do it thanks anyhelp ore titorial welcome

angle grinder or other grinding wheel. I'd set up some sort of jig to keep the lines striaght and use a liquid to keep all things cool as you go. Check this thread for a lot of help: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=653

A carbide scraper and some stones or sandpaper will get you there, not as quick as an angle grinder will, but with less chance for irreversible error.

If you do use a grinder, potatoes make effective heat sinks. It sounds funny, and looks funnier, but I've used it many times when grinding knife blades and wanted to protect the temper. I've never worked on a sword before, but it should work just as well. Make sure that you clean the blade immediately after you are done though.
