Hi,
So I have a Chinese Jian from a Chinese manufacturer. The blade is good but the wooden handle cracked a bit in shipment. The manufacturer offered to have me send it back to China for refitting, but getting that sword in nd out of China again is a huge hassle. I am thinking of having them send me a new handle and get it reassembled state side.
Are there any sword smiths or reputed "repairmen" or "sword mechanics" for lack of better terms who have handled chinese swords people can reccomend?
The handle is wrapped under tight chord and pommel and guard are welded in place really tight. Very solid structural integrity just a slightly cracked handle.
Thanks!

The best way may be to just get a whole new handle made. Unfortunately, i don't know anyone who does work on hinese swords...

Yeah they will make me a new handle, I just need a professional in the states who can switch it in and put the pinmel and chord wrap back together.
