I was thinking the same thing lol. I like sinclair hilts, but me being left handed . It's really hard for me to get the swords I like.

I'd advise you to stay away from Nielo swords. Purely reenactor stuff. Blades are corsely made with light stock and no taper. I took an Nielo Austrian Dragoon in trade from Pinotte after I paid for a WEI Grenadier a Cheval saber then realized his "new" one was exactly the same as the one I own. I regret it. I don't see value commensurate with the asking price of these swords. If the Windlass Sinclair is around it is a better sword. The DSA dussack is a better sword. Sorry...

I just looked at what they are asking for the sinclair.....$610  Oh hell no! You can get a Del Tin Dussack for less. Plus for $37 more than what the the price of the Nielo sinclair, you can get a scabbard for the Del Tin.
I have handled the DSA dussck and I was very impressed with it. I'm with Dave, this would be a better sword to get than the sinclair. But $325 is a little to high for this sword.

I saw a sword he had made posted on MyArmoury a year or so ago and ordered 3-European medieval swords from him. At this point in time, I was trying out some of the Eastern European smiths to see what they were about.
The swords arrived and I was very disappointed with them. One had a crooked tang and the grip was way off center. I could see where he shimmed all the guards with wood. The fittings were well done (pommels/guards). The worst of all were the blades. On two of the swords, they were horrible. Fullers all over the place and uneven. I mean Windlass blades are 100% better. Looked like something someone made in their garage. I would not even sell them and gave two away. I kept the best of the 3 but the POB is under the guard.
A lot of folks also like Vladimir Cervenka swords but all 3 I have can almost bend over on themselves. Make decent displays.
Anyway, thought I would share my folly.

Nielo did a bad job on the Walloon plate perforations (perhaps to keep down the cost) - just a suggestion of the stars and circles that should cover them - www.kultofathena.com/product.asp ... loon+Sword - Few to no original Walloons would have plates that looked like that. Look at This Thread over at myArmoury to see what Walloons should look like. Unfortunately, it's probably the only production Walloon on the market

That is all incredibly disappointing. There are so few cutlass/hangers on the market and no Sinclairs. I've never seen a Windlass Sinclair; an older out of production model, perhaps?
I'll be saving up for the Del Tin Dussack. From what I've heard and the pics I've seen, I'll be staying away from the DSA. Over $300 for a sword that will probably need work on the grip wrap and sanding and polishing of the welds on the guard doesn't work for me. But then again the options are so few and far between on these types.

Too short for me. I'd love a nice saber but I don't see myself going for anything shorter than 30".
...The hell are these things doing in the $400+ range?

I think his sabre type swords are much better than his attempt at early medieval type swords. From what Dave said, the blades are not great but at least do not look like blind, drunk monkeys hammered them out with their asses on fire like the medieval blades I received.
