Hey guys,
The guard on my Iberia line hand & a half developed a slight rattle after the Norcal meet-up Sunday. The sword is peened, and I've tried whacking the peen to no avail. After speaking with bpogue, it would appear that the grip was epoxied to the tang during assembly, which would explain why hitting the peen didn't help. I did try the pipe aound the peen trick as well.
Anything else I can do to tighten this thing up? Thanks to all for any suggestions... :?

On a couple Del Tins, I used crazy glue. Hold the sword with blade pointing up and add glue to the slot where the blade goes into the guard. On the Del Tins, I was able to add the glue from the side of the slot and it ran in that way.

Thanks Bill.
If that works, will the sword be safe for light cutting?

Yes. Worse that can happen is it might come loose again. Like on my Del Tins, the peen is rock solid and the sword will never come apart. I had a windlass that I redid the grip on but the old leather went between the guard and grip. In that situation since there was a small gap, I used fishing line and expoxy to fill the gap. Could not do it on the Del Tins as it was solid with no gap.

Thanks again Bill. I tried the fishing line trick, but there's not enough space to get the line in. I'll give this a shot tonight.
