Hey Guy's I was wondering, any advice for a decent Belt Sander to sharpen up youre swords/knives? I am kinda looking for one that would cost no more than 300 dollar, cause there will be shipping cost to it,import taxes etc I know TomK is using this kind of Belt Sander from Harbor freight Tools www.harborfreight.com/1-inch-x-3 ... -2485.html about 40 dollar I was also looking in to this one www.harborfreight.com/1-inch-bel ... 34951.html here is the price 70 dollar, and with this model got a disc table that can turn to 45 degree. Than i was looking into some better models like kalamazoo belt sander www.bladeforums.com/forums/showt ... mpressions ... re=relatedI was wondering if kalamazoo would have also models for example euhm, a disc table that you could adjust like to a certain degree so you can lay down youre sword in that angle so you can run it smoothly in the belt? Or if you guy's would have other suggestions about beltsanders? Any advice is welcome Have in mind tough that i would not spend more than 300 dollar for one

I buy my belts from tru grit. I think Tom says he does too now. I would buy their more expensive belts. As the cheap ones seem not to last long. I think it's a difference between $2 per belt vs $4 per belt. I personally like trizact belts and norton norax belts for 400+ belts. Lower belts I like 3m gator belts or norton blaze.
