First of PFC Crum, thank you for your service. Now on to your question.
Is it worth it? That's really up to you to decide. The SBG 330 custom isn't a bad sword by any means. Could you find better? Absolutely but be prepared to pay more for it. Could you find better for the money? Probably but you'd have to do your own research on the other swords. The SBG 330 swords have a pretty good reputation for functionality and durability. That said so do other swords that cost both less and more... some are customizable others are not.
So is it a bad sword for the money? Definitely not. Is it the best sword you can get for the money? Again no. Really its your choice - in the end you have to ask yourself if the sword is worth it to YOU.

They are one of the recommended vendors for European sword buyers. If your not over in Europe though it probably isn't worth the shipping costs. If you are, then I would say €275 for T10 blade is not bad, however €675 for folded steel is a bit high in my opinion unless they are laminating it also, and would suggest not choosing that option. €115-€155 for a tsuba, and all the other options you will end up paying for. A sword customized by them will end up costing over €400 quickly. My guess is it would be easy to quickly get into a €600-€700 sword before you realized it. That said, it has some pretty good options for customizing, but considering their selling the Hanwei Practical Plus Elite for €360.00 and for the complete Hanwei Raptor set is €545.00 , I think you can probably get a better deal from them by buying one of their preassembled stock pieces rather than going through the customiser. I would say go through the customiser and see how much the sword comes out to, if it seems reasonable compared to the other stock pieces, then go for it. If not, then don't.

The SBG 330 custom is a darn good sword at a darn good price. It gets respect wherever it goes...
I would have one myself but the line forms fast...

The SBG sells a great sword, but the trick is that it's a lot like jumping on a moving merry-go-round...You got to be ready to go the moment the thing comes by or your chance is gone until the nest go-around

It isnt an issue either way, i found them now and i will send an inquiry, im just having a few troubles with their customiser
what is the difference between ornamental and geometric yokote? is one better then the other to have on a cutter?
best blade steel: 1050 steel, t10 steel, 1095 steel, 1095 folded steel, or tamahagane?
what are the differences in these blade shapes: shinogi-zukuri, shobu-zukuri, unokobu-zukuri, hira-zukuri, and kanmuri-wtoshi-zukuri?
polishing effects of mirror polish, whiten polish, and traditional polish?

The yokote makes no difference in a cutter. Its preference really,as is pretty much everything else. One is polished into the sword.Geometric is forged in basically. If you like the sbg custom,I beleive it is 1095 steel. What still is best is a loaded question. It is a shinogi zukuri. I would link pics of different styles but Im using a crappy tablet right now.You can google all of those tho. Differences in polish will mainly be a better hamon, grain and bigger pricetag.

Dear Anthony Crum Thanks for your enquiry. As your requested, we make this katana pricei s $296. shipping katana to your door cost is $60. So, total cost $356. Another, you requested blade lamination kobuse, I'm sorry we can't do kobuse lamination for 1095 steel, it's only for folded steel or tamahagane steel. If you have any more other questions please let me know. Waiting for your reply. Best Regards Mr.Kane
Wow looking at the price and then at the customizer im shocked the price is so low
