Hey!
First off name's Nadine (but only my mother calls me that) I tend to go by Dini and I don't actually own any swords (unless you count a really cool letter opener my husband got for me in Scotland! lol). Right now my budget only allows me one addiction at a time (last I checked no one ever got stopped for having a large tattoo - the same can't be said for a large metal pointy object! Which if finances allowed me to own I'd have strapped to me when I left the house). What I do have is a healthy love (read:obsession!) of all things medieval which began somewhere around age 7. While other little girls dreamed of unicorns I wanted a black fire-breathing dragon, while my sister played dress up I hung out with the boys having mock 'battles', I read anything and everything to do with the knights and their training, and at one point I think I knew more about the past than I did of the present.
And while I'm now firmly planted in the present (I have just enough geeky gadgets to make some men green with envy and -gasp- I actually know how to use them!!) as a writer (authors are published, as of yet I am not) it's always good to have a few experts (or in the digital age: forums) at one's figer tips.
Sorry for the verbal diarrhea - did I mention I'm a woman and a writer ?!?!
I am always up for a lively discussion (see above) about most subjects (I will refrain from the obvious no-nos to comply with board rules even though I do so love debating them!)
Thanx for your pateince :)
