Comparing swords to buy

I am a newbie and I am looking for a nicely made katana that is also appealing. I have read the article from SBG about where to buy swords from, and also the article about what to look for. But being new at this, I would like to ask for advice about the katanas I am looking at. I am currently looking at 7 katanas from a few different websites and different manufacturers, and I would like some advice about which one is the best for the given price. I will explain what I am looking for in a katana to base your judgment on. I don’t study how to use a sword, nor have I ever swung one, and for the most part I am just trying to start a sword collection. However, every once in awhile I might show my friends how well the sword can cut, that is if I have a good sword that can cut nicely. So, first off, I am looking for a katana that is well made, and that isn’t made of cheap material, not just the blade, but the entire sword. I don’t think it is possible for the price range of the swords I have chosen, but I would like to not have it be so cheap that it breaks when I swing it or try to cut something with it. As for appearance, I like the way a folded blade looks, but I have read that folding the steel makes it easier to mess up the blade. I am afraid that since these are on the cheaper side that buying a folded katana might not be worth the risk but I feel it would be worth it if the sword turns out right. Next, I like how some of the tsubas have a picture or depict a story. Although it's not traditional, I feel that having one like this adds something to it (if done well) and would be a nice thing to tell others about. I also like how the bo-high looks and how it causes a whistling sound when the katana is swung. Although I like these characteristics, I am not dead set on having them if it means getting a bad deal. The first thing I want is a good katana, all the other stuff I mentioned is for looks, but I would still like to have some of the stuff I mentioned. Thank you for taking the time to check and compare these swords for me, I would really appreciate any advice you have for me.
