Just a point to your last post saying you did not expect this drama. You clearly stated you had been reading this forum for a long time and the posts about Skyjiro. You start your review stating this. You start your review saying SBG was spamming about Skyjiro, when they were spamming us. You claim we were trash talking them, but what we did mostly was trash talk their spamming us with sock puppet accounts.
So you are surprised by the reaction you got reviewing their sword here? Hard to believe. Especially when you started your review hostile to SBG. You picked to review a sword from a vendor you saw had spammed our forum then say we spammed them. So sure your going to have an up hill battle getting people to accept your word on things. You choose to put your sword through weird tests like cutting a metal wire fence straight out of the box with out even wiping off the packing oil. But this review shows no test in action, we just have pictures and your word that you did this with the sword.
For you not to see why people are skeptical of Skyjiro is odd, since it is pretty obvious that we would be. Isn't that why you posted your review, to try and disprove our skeptisism?
So really I don't know what sort of welcome you expected with the review you posted. I personally while skeptical have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, and others seem to have the same opinion.
Many have voiced that it is not the swords themselves that they take issue with with Skyjiro but Skyjiro spamming the forum and their dishonesty in trying to market their swords at prices that don't match their specs.
So you feel you spent $300 on a good sword. Congrats, but you should have had some expectation of the drama you would stir up here posting that review.
If you stay, welcome to SBG, and I hope you review your other swords. Though I would suggest not bashing SBG in your reviews if you don't want drama in the comments on your review.

Im hearing ya buddy,i just got a bit wild over the fact people say its fake,i thought i was doing a good thing by trashing it? or trying too anyways, and i wouldnt use any other sword to do this with as i do like my collection swords, this was just a stupid idea from the start i think now,i thought i would fight the losing battle anyways, i did not mean SBG was bashing anyone and i have nothing agaisnt them,i would not have signed up and wasted so much time bashing my sword straight out of the box,and uploading pic's,also im no expert on cutting either im sure a pro could do much better, well the fence anyone can do and i admit it was dumb, but as i said i was prepared to bash it to death so the fence's was just a lazy way of taking it down as i never liked it anyways, but i didnt think people would be so uptight?? they need to come down under for a while and learn to chill and relax and see the funny side of cutting down your fence rather then working for an hour in the blazing sun,
Anyways it was an honest bashing on that sword,i wont say a test as it gets some fanatic's all worked up, i cannot say anymore people will read and judge for themselves, and if this sword was a piece of crap i would say it as i spent $300 bucks on it,i dont no about you guys i dont have a money tree do you? and as for IP tracking and what not go for it,you will see in near Sydney New south wales Australia, i have nothing to gain by lying about swords,as im not skyjiro forge you cant buy swords from me so i dont see why people instantly think if he talks about Skyjiro's he must work for them?
but what does wiping oil off before cutting do? sorry if that sounds stupid,i love my swords but dont no how to use them properly and i no you guy's are much smarter then me in this area as we all can see im a bit of rookie at using them, but been collecting for a while,im addicted to Type 95's i no they are oil quenched factory machine made blades, but i just love them!

It isn't that people don't like skyjiro, they are just unknown. And there attempt at making the brand known is a very poor one and really shady.
Your review was also your first post, wich is not a very common thing. And the way you wrote and things you said was right in the line of our previous experiences.
And i'm not saying that you work for Skyjiro but i believe that you are in some way affiliated. It doesn't matter to me, do what you have to do. But the next time you talk to them tell them that there are better ways to promote there products and they start with honesty.

Ok mate that is a fair enough view on things,i seem to have no other choice but to make a video of this sword being used,i dont want to because to be honest i suck at using them, that is why i went for pic's firstly, anyways i have a few days off work now i will get something done to help proove that im not a Skyjiro member, worker, salesman, or anything like that, Also the reason for my first post as a review,is as i said i have been reading this forum for a while, and only just joined, and honestly i dont have any useful info to add to most of your discussion's as im not up the game like you guy's, i do like the Japanese style katana's but im no expert on swords,i do no the basic's and what not,but yeah if i do the video im sure i will get bashing for my style of technique as i dont have one, just aim and chop is how i go,

Alarm bells ringing from down here in Oz, ozzy_samurai I must question your statement, we call ourselves Aussies and the Yanks call us Ozzies but nobody spells it with a "y". Your English tells me you're not from down here, judging by your grammar I'm betting you're Chinese, and where you come from is more like several hours north of Sydney by plane overseas. Please don't take this personally, it's not intended that way, just looks like something is amiss here, so I'll maintain my skepticism. Regardless, the Skyjiro website doesn't look well organised, and there's too much sales hype. It would really be nice to see what their swords are really like, all it would take is for someone from the company to submit a sword to SBG for testing, and if it's a decent blade for the money, it will show in the review. Considering that the wholesale price of a sword like they are selling is well under $300, it's very cheap advertising for the cost of a blade that reaches the sword community worldwide, if a vendor is confident of their product. A favourable independent review by SBG will equate to real sales for a company if the sword is good value for money. Nothing to lose, plenty to gain, hey? Please consider!

Ozzy_Samurai, I believe this is your Ebay profile right? myworld.ebay.com.au/the_ozzy_samurai/ With the two forges you have contacts with 'mentioned on your Ebay profile' just to be clear that neither of them is Skyjiro correct? Please understand that it's hard for members here to trust Skyjiro since he/she has a knack to create multiple profiles both on this forum and on Ebay, Anywho don't take things too personal and Welcome to SBG.

Well I have some pennies for this mess. Errr, i mean a couple worms for the can! Frankly, you missed some huge marks in your review. I too am a new member. I too did a ton of research. I had no clue about skyjiro until your post. Next up, on the first page of the review threads, there is a sticky with a review template, 1st post, its a review and you did not use the template? After these couple pages of back and forth BS which should not exist, one thing really stands out, "You can do your hair with this sword." Another good one, you say you dont know how to clean the sword, yet you own "hanwei practical series swords" those two do not co-exist since the practical series swords come with very well documented maintence instructions. Not too many people take a brand new sword to a fence without some sort of background as to why they did it, and just for a review on here does not sound like enough motivation for a user, might be enough motivation for a vendor trying to make a name though. From the skyjiro website: Operating Hours: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. AEST Excluding Public Holiday Australian Eastern Standard Time You did specify you were from australia correct. A couple more things, if you use images and articles flat out stolen from other websites, you should at least give those sites a link back. The first two articles I visited were just this, Long tsuka article from I forget where and the polishing article & SF's blade from www.ksky.ne.jp/~sumie99/information.htmlBack to why the BS should not exist, there are numerous posts with very very very helpful advice how to actually get a leg up in the community in a more proper manner. Suck it up and go that route, or stick to ebay/craigslist for one shot sales to impulse buyers. I imagine you will have to do a lot of grovelling and apologizing to get a vendor account. If you can secure this, or get a temp vendor account or talk with the admins here. If you can look at your product and actually believe in your product, give a few of them up to recognized reviewers here. You will get feed back, no guarantees you will like what comes back, but its a point you can build on. No sense defending those reviews either, just learn from the bad marks and either fix them or accept them. No one here expects nihonto quality at these prices. As mentioned before, the only thing that will turn things around for you now is utter transparency. Lastly, this is not an angry post nor am I an anyway passing any judgement on your or your company. As a previous poster stated, nothing against people who struggle with English either, I have been speaking it for 30 years and still screw it up myself. Heck, I will even do a review. Just send me a PM from a vendor account, and be prepared to have a sword picked apart bad, right down to a random section of the internal blade shown for all to see. All that said welcome to the forums, stay awhile and enjoy the show. Feel free to read and post to some other threads, some really awesome and inspiring threads.

Well this is interesting Vue, and if this ebay is the same person they bought from Skyjiro-swordsman 3 times March 12th and twice Jan 12th. He also orders from sasakikojiro_091 (another Skyjiro ebay) twice on March 12th and once Feb 12th.
8 purchases total. So 5 orders in March one in Feb, and two in Jan from Skyjiro on ebay. So Ebayer the_ozzy_samurai has been buying from Skyjiro a bit before positing this review.
There was another e-bay called skyjiro-forge but it no longer exists.
I have to say Skyjiro-swordsman ebay is a weird thing. I get 0 products when I look at items for sale. Both Skyjiroswordsman and sasakikojiro_091 have 95% of their sales listed as private when you look at their feedback so you don't really know what was bought.
Honestly seeing the multi ebay accounts and closed ebay account along with private listings and private sales it makes me get the feeling of the tons of untrustworthy Chinese ebay sword sellers. The ones who have 4-5 different accounts and pump their feed back by selling to eachother little low cost items then after finally selling some swords they start another account preparing for the wave of negative feedback. They then move all their products to the new account and start over. Now I am not saying Skyjiro is doing this, but 3 different Skyjiro ebays I found, one skyjiro-forge closed and sasakikojiro the one with actual swords on it for sale not having the Skyjiro name clear in the account name. These are practices that happen often with the Chinese ebay scammers and does look odd.
Take it how you wish. I for one would not recommend nor trust Skyjiro. Shady marketing, shady ebay presence, stolen information on their website, pictures and links to video that is not theirs, over use of hype words, and over pricing swords based on the specs that are given by Skyjiro and the prices for similar swords of same specs.

ROFL. best laugh I had in a while
you might want to uh...change this... selling these ....uh ....
For any new readers who might read the review and think the sword is great... It is great -just at the price point of $65-80. Buy from reliable vendors you can return to like Kult of Athena (beware of ebay)

scratch all that, sorry but I just checked your ebay profile and noticed you have this sword on sale with info that is different than what you describe on the review.
sorry but if anything your ebay page gives evidence that your either a seller or a shady ebay scammer.
damascus hand forged? I thought it was 1050th?
brand new in the box? but you cut fences!
selling it for under half the price you supposedly bought it for? very generous...
even if your ebay info is true, you obviously lied in the review when you said you bought one to try. obviously according to your ebay info you bought at least three.
come on dude, not cool...

Just to give a little credit he did post on his ebay
So the pictures he posted here and then posted on ebay to sell that sword are the same, but he did say they are test pictures of a lesser quality sword though has an error in saying the test pictures were of 1060 but claimed the Skyjiro sword was 1050.
Interesting he calls the $300 sword lesser quality to the one he is selling for half the price though.
It also tells us why he took those crazy fence cutting pictures he posted here, they were marketing he was doing for his ebay, not as much the review here.
I had missed seeing the pictures from the review on his ebay, LOL. That really lost my sympathy for Ozzy. He seems like just another dishonest ebayer, possibly in connection with Skyjiro now to me.
Oh well.
Buyer beware Skyjiro is not a place to buy from.

YES THAT IS ME EBAY.COM.AU USER: the_ozzy_samurai ,you can see im not a dealer for any brand, but sell my own stuff from my bedroom cupboard or display,i dont keep all my swords on display, some get opened and put back in box's where they stay so they are still as new,
I have purchased a couple more skyjiro's since that 1050,the auctions for folded blades im yet to sell but need some extra coin for car rego and bill's and more bill's, and that seller yes has moved on as i think i got one of his last swords just before i got my rego email back from SBG and had already done the 1050, that 1050 is sitting in my room and will not be sold for obvious reason's, it is my new gardening tool for trimming up the tree's in backyard,
i have sold swords of many different brands as you may see through my feedback, and as i said i have been collecting for while, and private listings are my buy now or make offer swords, just so people dont see what i accepted last time and offer that always and i do sell WW2 items and sometimes the same type of sword a type 95, you guys can check over next week or so i will have a Clasping hand Sarute,Genuine Japanese war medals x5 2 are same type,1x Genuine Japanese War Flag Signed all over 27x30 inch approx in pretty good nick for its age,1x Tokyo first Type 95,Brass Tsuba, matching digits 138665 good condition all round still Razor sharp with a few nicks down the edge some minor stains on top 2/3 of blade, i do have quite a bit of Japanese gear for a dodgy dis-honest seller who does not even live in australia but somehow sell's to ONLY people in australia only, how bizzare would you think? Personally this how i as an Australian would pic those images as true if i did not do them myself,i would see the burning hot clear blue sky,the sunburnt grass, the sunburnt tanned skin on me and no he is in the sunburnt country for sure, its not called the sunburnt country for nothing, skin cancer is the biggest killer here, tops drugs and alcohol and murders combined
i have sold over $4000 worth of assorted blades in 3 months, all with 100% happy customer's, so please guys you are breaking my balls, cant a guy sell swords on ebay if he needs some cash and i do work also and pay off mortgage, im not rich in any way why would i pay ebay fee's to send swords back n forth to the other other user stated? that is just silly, when i need cash as it is, i dont want to sell any more WW2 stuff but i kinda have too at this time in life,

OK, I'm almost convinced.
What I really want to see is a shoot out, side by side comparison review between the ichiban Skyjiro Forge Steel Sand Warrior Katana and the TRAPPED ONI SPIRIT SAMURAI KATANA NIHONTO SWORD. That would convince me..
Straight from the Skyjiro Forge website: If you want one incredible sword to top everything, then don't miss this only chance!!!
Dang, I haven't saved enough box tops. I'm going to have to miss this only chance!!!

sorry bro, your sob stories are about as pathetic as your sales pitches. full of contradictions to your op and previous posts.
here's my conclusion,
a) your not associated with skyjiro from a professional stand point. what you are though is a self employed(ebay seller) 3rd party who sells skyjiro, and other chinese factory models, including your ww2 "memorabilia" for fluctuating prices to try and fool the market that your just "someguy" selling his personal items on ebay. when in reality your in a really shady sales scheme.
here's the formula for those who don't understand.
he buys xxx amount of cheap imitation memorabilia for under wholesale for at least $$$ of dollars, (the guys above him selling him and others this crap gotta make their money) so he takes all these medals, swords, kitchen knives, trinkets, oven boilers, ect, ect. and sells them on ebay and trys to turn a profit but usually barely breaks even.
people used to do this door to door, or on the street. what this poor ozzy samurai had gotten himself into folks is from my estimation a good old fashioned pyramid scheme. or he's a "fleabayer" a flea marketer/ ebay seller.
b) ok yes I believe your ip address is in australia, no I don't believe your not atleast of asian decent. nor do I believe your first language is english. yes I feel sorry for you. not because of you personally but because of your business methods and tactics. I'm also sorry your stuck in the middle of a pyramid scheme...
either way I'm done with this topic. my point will be 100% true especially since we won't see you any more here as a regular poster.
go back to the "slo" type forums where you low grade machined carbon steel blades look good, you impress the crowd by cutting wire fence, and the crowd is duped into believing your selling:
"handforged damascus steel blades"

I guess you missed my post where I pointed out Skyjiro is based in Eastern Australia (or for some weird reasons posts it business hours in Australian Eastern Standard Time.) The OP has admitted that he too is in Eastern Australia.
I will still refuse to believe with that additional bit of circumstantial evidence that he is not either Skyjiro, an affiliate or at the least a recognized vendor.

no I got all that, I just honestly think he's a fleamarketer who traded his trailer and awning for a ebay account. I guess to be "friendly"I could describe him as a "young eutrapenur".
to still keep pushing other sell items in your defence replies, smooth tactic bro.

This is your commander in Chief, Barrack Obama.
I included a pargraph in the "Obamacare" bill, which is now law, stating that all members of the SBG forum are required to purchase a katana from Skyjiro Forge.
Please comply with this law by 04-01-2012 or I will be forced to send the men in black to arrest you and place you in a Homeland defense internment camp.

I am amazed for the intellegence of SOME of you guy's seem to act like little children, flea bayer? what the hell, and duping people c'mon you can see my feedback, and who would buy fake WW2 items?? do you think people would pay good money for fake Japanese gear? the opinion of keyboard warrior's worries me very little, as i no im Australian, well English/Italian i was born in sydney and english is what i speak,
but the HotShot detective's on here seem to know more about myself then i do ! that is impressive, considering none of you would even no my name, the admin would i guess, what i want to no is you guy's all think im shady coz i did a review on Skyjiro, what if i did a review on Ryansword or something of very very crap quality? would i still be shady dealer who works for Ryansword? or is it unless you post something about a sword you guy's actually like, i bet if i bashed my PPK up the backyard this would all different and you guy's would not hate me so much, you guys obviously dont no to many Australian's, we are nothing like chinese scammer's,we are honest fair dinkum people, well most Australian's of course we have our trash but they are locked up in jail the one's that get caught anyways, as i said from the start i have nothing to gain from the review you guy's can see my ebay and i dont have 100's of swords, im not a salesman for anyone i work and sell my stuff only in last 2-3 months to get some extra cash i have thousands of dollars of stuff to sell and its not FAKE WW2 gear either, maybe they should call this the SBG Hater's Forum, not friendly at all, some guys yes i can see have some brains and are understanding other's well i wont bother, you think i would waste my time trying to fake all this?? and for what? if i want Skyjiro's i have to buy them like everybody else does, as i said before im not gaining anything from this but a headache trying to defend myself when i really did nothing wrong but bash a sword for you guys too see, so if i go bash a Hanwei in similar ways would it be OK then would that make me not dodgy now?

My Commander in Chief has legislated mandatory commerce under the Affordable Healthcare Act. I am legally compelled to purchase a Skyjiro katana.
I have selected this one: Name:SKYJIRO FORGE B109508 JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD KATANA SIGNED PAPER. According the the official Skyjiro Forge website information "This is a very fine sword, it made from "Skyjiro Forge T10 1095 H.C. Steel Sand"!"
Now I know that I will own a katana that will allow me to do battle with the Trapped Oni Soul Samurai Katana Nihonto Sword. I will be invincible!
