Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and got on here because I read somewhere that there are a lot of people that post on here from Hawaii and I am trying to find kenjutsu or iaido here on Oahu. I've been on island for about 8 months now and the only thing I can find is kendo. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give. Thank you.

Hmmm . . . a few buddies of mine who moved back to the mainland participated in jujitsu while they went to the U of H.
I'll see if they have any leads about any Japanese sword art dojos that aren't kendo.

On a quick check with HKF site there is iaido in 2 of their dojos for HKF members. I believe it's ZNKR Iaido, here is the link to them: www.hawaiikendo.com/dojos.htmlSome other dojos have iaido too but I believe it's only for their own students. Don't know how up to date Koryu.com is but it's listed there that Wayne Muramoto is the leader of Hawaii Martial Arts Club. MJER and ZNKR. I believe Maui is different island but there is a MJER dojo in there. I would suggest getting in contact with people in your area who practice japanese sword arts, even if their art is not for you they probably will have good overview what Hawaii has to offer. Maybe your should visit one of the HKF dojos and talk with people in there.

Thanks, I'll check around. If anyone else knows any places or people feel free to let me know while I am searching around. Thanks.
