After some praise from my fellow forum mates about my "doodles", I decided that I would post some of my designs. Some of these aren't finished, and I also draw everything, no computer graphics (I'm old fashioned like that). The Pentacle Etches on the blade was something of a Manufacturer's stamp I was going to use.
Some wakizashi and tanto designs. Personally Tanto #2 and Wakizashi #2 are my favorites.
This is called "Benisukaru" (Crimson Skull). It's a Moro-Ha Zukuri Style Blade with Blood Red Skull theme.
This is my first Actual design. This is about 4 years old and was designed for a friend. It's called "Kuro-Ryuga" or Black Dragon's Fang.
A blade I designed to go with the "Skull and Crossbones" Theme Koshirae from Fred Lohman's site. It's called "Doku-Sukaru" or the Venom Skull. It was going to be a Black and dark Green themed sword.
this is one idea I had for a Tachi Style Blade, It is a Unobuki-zukuri blade with an interesting Tsuka: Tsukamaki with Metal bands on the Ha and Mune side with Tachi fittings. I have seen the bands on other tachi but not with Tsukamaki. I thought it would look cool.
Another tachi. This one was themed on a stormy sea with dark blue Ito and silver koshirae. My favorite tachi design so far...
As I am a nerd, and I do love the Soul Calibur Series, and I am in awe of any Masamune blades, I made a sketch of Mitsurugi's Masamune Hondachi from the game. Honestly I love that sword and would love to forge it one day. At the time I improvised the Saya Paint Sceme, it's gold and black.
Another nerdy design. This is a design of the "Komaken" or "Kurikara" from Ao no Exorcist. It's has Jindachi-Zukuri (?) mountings but it is meant to be a funtional blade. I also tried to make it somewhat Historically accurate with the Hamon (with either a Notare or Suguha hamon) and it has tsumami-maki tsuka and I thought it would be appropriate that the menuki should be Phoenix Themed. Some of you probably never read the manga or watched the anime but it's a very interesting design.
