So there I was minding my own business doing some Warbow shootin'. Suddenly! Before you could could say Arrows vs Armour debate, I raised my bow to shoot and a bird flew right into the top of my bow stave and exploded in feathers. Me: "What?! heh.....what?" Bird: (Flies away) Me: "hmmmm" (picks feathers off bow string and continues shooting). Just thought I'd share. 'Twas a tad strange. Anyone else have any strange shooting/range stories?

That's weird, in an near-impossible statistical way ... Glad to know both participants of this story walked out of it with only a few ruffled feathers ...

Reminds me of that baseball clip where the pitcher throws the ball and hits a bird, which then explodes into a giant cloud of feathers. Don't think he flew off after that one...

The best I've got is that I was shooting behind my old place and something caught my eye behind the target. About 10 yards behind my target a family of turkeys just appears from the woods and starts pecking the ground behind my target. Well, as it happens, I had just put out an add on craigslist for turkey feathers...
Well, lucky for the turkeys, I just threw some insults at them, and they meandered back into the forest.
"You know... they say you're dumb enough to drown in a rainstorm..."
I think I hurt their feelings.

Sadly no swans, turkeys and/or geese were harmed in the throwing of that ball.
That's pretty awesome, Artelmis.

I was watching the clip of said baseball pitch the other day. That bird aint getting up. Luckily my one managed to get away (probably got alot of crap from his mates for that one - "who flies into some guys bow? Honestly!").
