A 10 inch grip??? Pommel thru the ricasso might get ya 7 inches. No personal experience with it though... I did buy the Windlass Pilsen rapier. Blade on thet one had a marginally acceptable stiffness. Likened to a Hanwei, you still get a decent sword for the pricepoint.

For sub $200 this one is my favorite. I'd assume the grip length is a typo on koa. They did that to a few others I've purchased. It really sucks when your deciding and stats is a factor. Compared to other pics of windlass rapiers I'd assume its in between 4"-5".
It's. #3 on my to -get list after a windlass braveheart and a ronin ko.

The sword looks ok but, in my opinion, the grip still would be much too long for a rapier as when you grip it you put your index finger and thumb over the quillon, around the ricasso, you need less of a longer grip...plus, the basket on these (Hanwei and Windlass) is usually much too big and bulky paired with a very thin and small blade making the whole disproportionate...which is very sad because they could be great for the price if the baskets and grips were just a bit smaller...the proportions better... Example of what I'm talking about: image courtesy of armsandarmour.ca Compare the proportions with this one from Arms & Armor: www.myarmoury.com/review_aa_ni.htmlJust my opinion thought.
