We don't heat treat blades - at this time. We do finish grind the 'treated' Albion bare blades.

Ernie,
Do you have any pics of a blade with the forge wave, but still sharpened and finished? Just wondering what $425 would look like - because it seems that the only pics you have up would be $550 (which is still a great price, I was just curious).

I don't have any right at the moment but I do have one on the docket that is getting the standard finish so I should have some pictures of the blade soon. Basically the standard no-regrind finish has the secondary bevel removed and quite a bit finer surface finish than the original but none of the forge wave is addressed. As you can see in the pictures of the regrind finish all the forge wave is gone, the fullers are straight and true and the edge line (silhouette) is perfectly straight.
Addendum
I just noticed that you must have been answering adtharp's question at the same time I was. Didn't mean to jump in there.

ErnieR:
Your stuff looks incredible, amigo, and I quite like your website. Say, you need to get a green manufacturer/vendor tint to your name.

Funny, I was thinking that very same thing myself.
That reworked Longsword on Ernies site is quite the tasty bit of tid. I like it quite a bit of a lot.

I just realized now that Fry has about the right amount of cash in-hand to demand one of these swords.
I'm now seriously considering getting a blade re-hilted by Ernie and co. This stuff is just too nice.

Lunaman and Aaron, far be it from me to stand in the way of such an ardent desire. Thanks KC, and we are working on the M/V but it takes a little time. It handles wonderfully, very fast and handy one handed or two.

I can honestly say, thus far, Ernie is a class act and knowledgable about what he does, beyond making a sword look stunning, I have full faith he'd make a sword handle thus too.
