Hnnnnnnnnnng.... I know it's not the best sword, but THAT is one i've been eyeing for ages. $50 cheaper than even the KoA price too.

Man that is tempting. I've been eyeing that sword as well. Does anyone know how well the sword handles if it was sharpened? The SBG review doesn't show it cutting.
The base thickness is thinner than most Katanas and it doesn't have that much of distal taper.
Hopefully can someone chime in who owns this sword comment how it feels?

I have one. I haven't had a chance to cut with it yet, but it dry handles well. Mine came sharpened, but I bought from Bruce Brookhart when he started selling his collection, so I have no idea what the factory edge is like. Basically if you are a fan of the series and want a WoT sword, its probably worth getting at this price. If you're not, its a maybe.

I second that. Anyone know about this blade? I held off buying the Heron Marked sword last week because of reports of it being more of a wall hanger, but this one looks pretty nice.

with these stats
Overall: 32" Blade: 24" long, 2" wide, 3/16" thick Wt: 2 lbs / 4 oz
and the ridgeline / diamond shape it seems it would be a stiff blade good for powerful cuts. what I've read says that the shorter windlass blades are generally considered better
