Thomas Buck has apparently just published a book on Tsukamaki. I ordered and received my copy on Saturday and its definitly worth the money. He includes 25 different styles and good instructions very much like the article most are familiar with. www.amazon.com/Art-Tsukamaki-Tho ... 215&sr=8-1

Bumping this thread real quick to inquire as to what those who have gotten it in hand think... I'm interested in this one!

I have it and it's ok. it's basically all of Buck's info we've already seen on the web compiled in a book. for people like me who were confused by the hand drawn diagrams, it doesn't really help, lol. there are some additional drawings but since they look like they were drawn on the computer or with a straight edge it's really hard to get a feel for the individual styles represented since it looks so square and rigid. for some styles, shapes and curves mean a lot. unfortunately, he doesn't really give many details when explaining the how-to so I was still left with many questions. on the bright side at least with this book in hand you won't need to keep bringing up bookmarked pages on your pc to reference something. overall the book has some valuable information and his work is flawless but it seems a little scattered and incomplete.

Took a quick look through it last night - i would have liked more instructional versus historical, but it's interesting stuff in any case. Did pick up that hishigami should be doubled when going over the menuki, though...
Thanks, jason
