Hey everyone,
I've been trying to find fittings for Chinese swords, but it looks like their is really no option out there. Does anyone know of a site that sells guards or pommels for Chinese swords?

Scott Rodell's company Seven Stars Trading carries jian and dao fittings, I believe.

Thanks for the info. I see they have Jian fittings, but $245 is more than I would like to pay for them. I wish Chinese swords had the niche market that Katanas do.

While probably out of your price range if Seven Stars stuff is too high priced, this place has some nice custom Chinese fittings. 9dragonmetalworks.com/home.htmlI do agree it is really too bad there aren't fittings easily obtainable out there for Chinese swords. Part of it probably is that there just aren't that many functional Chinese swords being made. Though I could see if someone had the money, starting a business selling Chinese weapons and an assortment of different fittings you could buy separately for customization could be pretty smart. Sadly I don't have the money to start such a business otherwise I would. |
