elvestidor.files.wordpress.com/2 ... ouring.pdf Not always the clearest, but with a bit of consideration and thinking in the places it is vague, it's easy to make a full suit of leather or metal plate, or both, or a mixed set. Awesome PDF.. I finally managed to find one of my main resource sites after years of having lost it! This is one of the better links from it.. In the coming weeks i'll be working on making my own, and then I may very well be taking a few orders. But anyone, whether you've worked leather o not, should be able to use this with great advantage and effect!

I don't plan on making any armor, but I found it very interesting. Thanks.

I've literally now retrieved abotu 300-400 patterns... I've got a loaded weekend, but hopefully over the next few weeks I can get them organized and linked in here. *Tons* of brigadine and lamellar/scale torso patterns.

This thread has a TON of patterns that were once free and are now sold on Etsy for the tune for $15+... Probably the best mitten gauntlets and spaulders i've seen. And close to the same for greaves. almogavares.foros.ws/t934/patron ... mas-cosas/ It's in spanish, but the patterns aren't. Copy/save the image and manipulate it to 100% size or to match scale bar if present. almogavares.foros.ws/f18/equipo- ... estimenta/ Same groups general tutorials links. Some of them are truly awesome.. Some are next to useless or not the highest quality, but even those are such you can easily see to tweak things to a 'better' aesthetic. EDIT: General English/French clothing guide: virtuater.free.fr/Medieval%20Cos ... France.pdf Viking Age Clothing Guide: www.vikingage.com/av/viking-outfit.pdf

There's at least three pieces in that thread that are awesome. That backpack made of nicer leather and modified a bit would be beast.

Since the Faire up here I work is *usually* really hot, but is prone to very quick pop up storms that stick around, I plan to use that backpack, but switch the bedroll for my suede cloak I waterproofed. And the rest of it will probably be first aid and things for my toddler.
Glad people are enjoying it. I am very happy I rediscovered these pieces and links. More are coming.

I'm also working on a reverse engineered pattern set for the below armor: I plan to modify the harness/strap system so the buckles aren't so obvious, or in the front. Purely fantasy piece bastardized of historical types, but it's a good little bit o' armor. John, those arm pieces with the elbow cops can actually be tweaked and combined to incorporate the spaulders and mitten gauntlets, and then you can include a gorget like that place has linked around the 2nd or 3rd page, and you have a nice set of protective gear.

Is that historical. I am trying to put together both a 1000 kit and a 1350 kit and I want to build everything myself so I am trying to find patterns that will fit those periods.
