HELLO SBG!!!!
This is my first post here and for the first one i wanted to say hi to the all the members of the best and most informative Sword buying and collecting website that there is... As a new member I must say ,there is a lot if information on these forums and looking at most of the conversations i feel like kind of an outsider looking in on a private organization. So if anyone has some good pointers, or can lend a hand with some questions when they come up i'd be very thankful.
Anyway, my name is Will, I live in south east FL and I recently bought my first back yard cutter the SGC katana by Cheness, and all i can say is that it rekindled an addiction that has been brewing inside of me since i was 6, having stick fights with my friends in my back yard. now that I am older I can actually afford to fund this hobby, and fully intend to begin practicing Tamishigiri asap. Other than katanas, I'm an avid surfer and gym goer, I've been thinking about joining a jia ali league and I'm already in a racket ball league, in general i love being active.
Being here I would love to learn how to customize my own katanas, sharpen and polish them, learn of other people around me that share the same interest and make some connections with the private dealers that post on this site. i know some people on here do custom katanas, and custom sharpening, and I'm totally interested in purchasing my next sword from someone on these forums. Anyone that can give me some guidance of where to post, who to talk to and how to start, i would love to hear from you! I hope to make some new friends and business connections.
