So, you guys remember the video where the guys were showing off the stainless steel hangers on TV, and the guy smacked the table and the rat tail tang came out, and he cut his arm? Do you think they learned a lesson? Well, I am afraid not. I;m watching Cutlery Corner right now. They just showed a wall hanger set similar to them called Black Storm. They looked a bit better quality than some wall hangers, but still not something to use. He pulled the katana out of the sheath, and it had Japanese etchings in the blade. He then says how beautiful the blade is and such. seems fair enough so far. Well, then he says "These swords are made of 440 stainless steel", which I expected fulyl, but then he followed it with "These swords have a slight edge, but obviously can be sharpened because this is TOP QUALITY STEEL right here, y'all!"
I literally dropped my sandwich on my plate and stared blankly at the TV for a good 10 seconds. How many injuries are they going to have to sustain before they come to their sense?

It is impossible to overestimate how stupid people could be. Maybe we can use cutlery corner as a Darwinian screening process; if someone is dumb enough to buy a sword from them, they're too dumb to live. Food for thought.

It's one thing to be ignorant. None of us were born with the knowledge of steel that we have today, and most of us began the same way, buying into cheap wall hangers, not fully grasping the concept of what we were swinging around, but ignorance can be overcome with a little time and research. It's people that prey on the ignorance of others in order to make a quick buck that anger me. Shame on you, Cutlery Corner.
