www.ebay.com/itm/Museum-Quality- ... 874wt_1163 Does anyone have any good information on this manufacturer? The EN45 steel is used by Armour Class I believe, but the swords do not look like theirs. Thanks in advance for any information.

The seller seems to not only sell this Southern Swords stuff, here's their actual website: www.southernswords.co.uk/This may be worth checking out...They appear to be a retailer mainly, though. But for our UK-based friends, it may be more cost-efficient. The maker of the Pappenheimer you linked seems to be John Barnett, who has a section on their website.

Never owned a John Barnett because i've never read a good review! I've handled a few in a shop and it was like a crowbar with a very ugly blade. I was researching it a few months ago and a historical fencer etc said he used a John Barnett against an Armour Class and the Barnett looked liked a saw blade after a few minutes sparring (chunks missing).

i own a john barnett seax, my best advice would be to avoid any of his offerings, from the one i own to the one's i have seen i wouldn't buy anymore, badly constructed, overly weighty and pretty nasty pot castings (at least on my seax) from what i've seen the rest of his work looks to be the same,i havent checked for awhile so he may have stepped his game up,i couldn't in good faith recommend him though
