Does anyone know if there are any production versions of a dacian falx or is it something I would have to have made? A book I have been reading lately has some of the characters using this and it seemed like a fairly interesting weapon. From what i can find they are about 2 meters long, half of that a slightly bias hooked blade and very sharp.
Since I'm always looking for unusual weapons, this really got my interest and I want to find one.

If you want the cheapest, easiest, and maybe even the toughest (certainly to weight) ration of a falx you can make your own. I did. Find a good cradle scythe blade in an antique store.
Remove all loose rust and fix the rest with a rust fixative. Cut off out a tang section (remove part of the sharp edge near the butt). Attach handle scales and wrap.
One warning: it'll bat bottles, not cut them. But against both harder targets and anything that resembles a real one (you should see what it'll do to a bone-in cut of roast)? Quite devastating.

That book wouldn't happen to be Dan Abnett's Legion, would it?
Anyway, falxes. Scorpion are the only folks I know who make them currently; however, I'm sure any custom smith could turn one up for you without too much trouble as they seem fairly simple.

Yup, that's the book. So far its been pretty good. I have a ton of the Horus Heresy books stacked up to read, up through the Outcast Dead which I think is the 17th or 18th book. When it gets to be that many books it gets hard to keep track. The series isn't bad so far but I do like Abnett's Gaunts Ghosts and Sandy Mitchell's Ciaphas Cain series better so far.
I think if I have one made it will probably be from Scorpion. I may want to tinker with the Rhomphaia sword. Make the handle straighter and the blade a little longer. I'd like to get one with a 2 and a half foot handle and three foot blade. IWhile I like the ones from Legion, two meters long would be pushing it since it would be slightly taller than me.
