I just received a brand new SGC Ko Katana directly from Paul at Cheness. I have read on the main SBG site that under $300 katanas should be expected to have imperfections but how much is too much? Here are imperfections I immediately noticed so can everyone give me some advice if this is just to be expected in under $300 swords. -Scratching on both sides of Habaki. -Tarnish all around Sepoa. -Habaki is aligned well on blad but together they appear twisted in mount. I have not taken it apart yet so I am guessing it is just mounted horribly and is not problem with blade. -Blade looks bent to one side as well about 8 degrees I would guess. Thanks Brandon Attachments:

The blade does not seem to be mounted properly if it is bent as in the picture.
Personally I will try contacting with Paul of Cheness and see if he would give you a replacement/refund for it.

Yes, contact him about an exchange. Scuff marks are a constant in production pieces, but a bent blade is not acceptable.

not acceptable, something is wrong with the mounting of this blade. I would not use it and would not accept it. Send it back.
