Dear Swordfans ive got still an issue. And that is about the taxes and fee's you might pay if you want to import a sword. I am not sure if anybody can help me to calculate the exact amount of money/(euro) i wll need to pay than. For example. Let us say,the sword i wanna buy has a value of 275 dollars. offcourse to transport it to Europe,Belgium,it might have an extra shipping cost, most shippingcost for a normal site of a sword, are like around the 60 dollar. So,total value would be like 335 dollar. Now,i am from belgium,i know if i would buy something outside europe,i will need to pay taxes on,so i think a sword is a luxery item,so we will have to pay the maximum tax on it,so that would be 21 percent BTW on it. so,if i calculate. 335 dollar * 0.73 is 244 Euro,if i see the present Cours. Now on that i will have to count 21 percent.244 Euro plus 52 Euro taxes is 296 Euro. Now the only thing i am not sure about is,the god damn Custom-fee that could be on it.. Normally,if you a package from outside youre country, the dam goverment wants to check it grrr Now i am not kinda sure how much extra custom fee that could get on the total amount of 296. could it be an extra 0.05 percent or?? Any European guy that can help me out with this? Ty alot xd

not sure if its the same but i imported into the UK and they didn't tax the postage, may be the same for Belgium. You may have to contest it.

For Austria its like paying 20%tax+2%extra fee(or 1,75% dont know exactly atm) extra of the price of the sword+shipping. Btw if its a cool vendor he could just write on the bill 150$ sword +30$ and paying him the real amount -> lower money to pay on taxes.
Btw you have to pay the 20%+2% the postman when it arrives.
Note the bill is: 335 dollars *0,7658(today$) = 256,5279€
256,5279 * 1,2(the 20%)= 307,83348
307,83348* 1,02(2%) =313,99 € in total.
you do it like this.
Hope I could help. if your country gets another ´%, just fill it in...i have calculated it for Austria. For me, if I see a price about 500 dollars, I calculate instantly that it will cost my a bit lower in Euro, like 460 €, if you get it ^.^

ty ewokz ,i think it will be something similair if you compair europe to australia, both pay alot for products ,so i believe for us it will be indeed 21 percent taxes and the fee could be also around the 2 percent, looks like i will have to look that up in there website, wich i horrible hate,it does not have a good lay out like this site and you can't always find what you need qua info.

In Italy we must pay a tax of 21% calculated on the total cost (sword plus shipping cost), and the Postal office add a fee for handling (for Custom processing) about 8 euros.
